Our Connection to Western North Carolina
On a personal note, Renee and I discovered Asheville on April 21, 2007 on a trip back from Florida. That day we only spent the afternoon there but, we were quite impressed with Asheville and the surrounding areas of Western North Carolina. In October 2007 we returned for a long weekend and from that point on spent even more time in the area when we could. At one point we considered a move to the area. We even looked at a few houses in Candler, which has now suffered a lot of devastation, along with Bat Cave and Swannanoa which we are also familiar with.
