Heart Centered Living’s Sights and Sounds of Summer

Greetings Friends,

Hope you are enjoying this georgeous weather we have been having for the lovely month of June. Finding time to play in the dirt, go
fishing, hang out with friends and family and of course take nature
hikes and walks in the woods. Have you noticed there has been a lot of activity in the air, and all around lately? That is certainly the sign
that Summer is just around the corner. It seems the more energy in the air, and around us, the more inside of us as well.

We recently took a spontaneous trip out to Ithaca where we were graced by the sights and sounds of Mother nature in her glory but even more specific-the animal kindgom. As you know, Heart Centered Living has been focused on plants, animals and our connection with the great wide world web for months now. The Medicine wheel teachings have been providing us a stable foundation with practical exercises that connect us to the animals, plants, gemstones and elements with lessons based on the purpose and meaning of each one. The Path of the Shaman classes are for those who want to make a difference in the world but don’t know where to start and how to go about doing it and these classes provide an opportunity for self-discovery, personal power and direction and purpose in a safe, sacred way.

So it was no surprise that in just one day, Erick and I saw a mama
duck with four ducklings, a wood chuck, red fox and blue heron all to
tell us something about life and our role in it. If you would like to
read more about this adventure and learn about the messages and
meanings of each one, click here

Animal Medicine Readings

If you would like to know what magnificant and majestic animals are
gracing your life these days and what messages they have for you
contact me at 607-226-2354 to set up an Animal Medicine Reading. We have 9 different animals that have been with us at least since our
birth and for many other life times as well. Find out what animal is
protecting your inner child? What animal is showing you how to express your gifts more? Learn who your guardian protector is of the male and female nature. Just as our guides are with us to show us the way, so do the animals. By discovering and observing this medicine, you can find peace, contentment and joy in all your relationships.

April Williams

It is with great joy and sunshiney pleasure that we bring on board
Heart Centered LIving friend and blogger April Williams. I first met
April a few months back as her sunny dispositon and positive attitude just radiated when I spoke to her-A sweet girl with strong convictions and an eye and heart for justice, truth and equalilty, I just new there was a place for her gifts and essence with Heart Centered
Living. After a couple of sessions of readings, healings and coaching
I lovingly twisted her arm (not really-right April) into starting to
get her work and her heart out there through our website and blog. I
am so happy to have her on board and officially out of the dark and
into the open hearts of all of you. Here is just a sneak peak of what
we can expect from this dynamo who is a Mother, Wife, works full time in the medical field and speaks from the heart with truth, love,
wisdom and compassion.

My name is April and I am super excited to be sharing myself with you
all through my writing. I am so very grateful for this beautiful space
you have all helped create by being a part of HCL.

For those of you who don’t know me, I am a day dreamer of all things
that bring hope, inspiration, motivation, and positive change to life
and am on a mission to help bring those into the reality of as many
people’s lives as I can touch. The birth of my first child two years
ago awakened me from the state of ignorance and auto pilot I had been on for more years than I would honestly like to believe. With this eye opening, new and old passions were born and re-birthed. Today I spend my extra time and energy left over from being a mom, loving girlfriend, and Nuclear Medicine Technologist, to working towards turning my passions and desires: which these days consist of: all natural health and wellness, mindfulness, self growth, and the act of writing itself, into my reality; As well as making them present in
each gesture I consume myself in.

Seeing the Bigger Picture in June

Dear Heart Centered Living Friends,

I have always been one who has enjoyed “plugging” into the times,
the time of the season, the time of the year, the holidays or special
times that we celebrate in groups, gatherings and with our families.
But I really had no idea how significant it was until I opened my mind
and heart to Earth Wisdom, be it Native Spirituality, the Divine
Feminine or even Buddhism for that matter. The event on the national calendar compared to the event on the cosmic calendar is beyond comparison.

Let me explain this a little bit. We all are very aware of certain
things that happen at various times during the year, we just
celebrated Memorial day as a nation, we will celebrate Father’s Day
as a nation, 4th of July as a nation, etc….But how many times do we
celebrate or honor an event that is happening globally? We are tied
into a calendar that recognizes many events that honestly have only
been sanctioned within the last 100 years or so. But what about new
moons, full moons, equinoxes, and solstices? Which have been
celebrated by indigenous peoples as well as since the beginning of

I for one, am enjoying all of this history, this getting back to our
roots, that seems was thrown out with the great literary books so long ago. For some reason we were taught that worshiping the sun, or
talking to the moon was considered evil and so we just swept it under
the rug and did not think twice about it. But I have to tell you when
you start uncovering the truth, the roots, the history, the
information that is programmed in our cells, veins, blood and bones,
there is something very rewarding in honoring and revering all that
which gives you life;the earth that sustains us, the grass that we
walk on, the trees that supply us with wood for heat, the sun that
makes our gardens grow, the rain that nourishes us, the list goes on
and on. And I have to believe that the creator, source, great spirit,
great mystery, God, All that is, would want us to “SEE” things
that way so that we may “DO” things a little bit differently then
what we have been doing to each other and to this earth……

** Call to Action**

With warmer weather comes the desire to be outside with friends,
enjoying the breeze, the trees, and each other. I would like to give
you an opportunity where you can do that with like-minded open
individuals who wish to learn, share, and grow either through
workshops, gatherings or events in an outdoor setting. Here are the
different ways where you can contribute, learn and grow with us at
your own pace and maybe even your own place if you so wish (-:

  1. Join us some Wednesday evening around the Medicine Wheel in Maine at 6:00, bring your lawn chair, and learn all about the practical ways to apply the Heart Centered Living philosophy to your life such as the understanding that all things and beings are related, and there fore must be in harmony for the earth to be balanced. Love offering or trade/barter (plants and posies are welcome)
  2. Host a mini-retreat, workshop, gathering or series at your home
with 6-8 interested people around the following teachings:
  • Shamanic Basics-The age old wisdom of Shamanism, which reaches back to the stone-age and paleolithic times, is alive and well today. It is still used by traditional healers around the globe, but the ancient methods have also been put to contemporary everyday use for self-help and healing. You too can draw on the powers of shamanism, for the path of the Shaman is the path of the self in its deepest connection to nature. Learn about sacred space, altars, smudging, and power animals.
  • Intuitive Development – (opening up to your psychic abilities) We will investigate how much you use your psychic senses/abilities and how to further train yourself to strengthen these innate gifts to not only make you conscious of what’s around you but also help you take charge of your destiny. Discover your underlying intuitive gifts that you do have and learn how to develop your psychic potential through awakening your senses, opening up through meditation, tuning into your chakras, understanding your will, looking at auras and sharpening your psychic vision.
  • Faery Goddess Gathering – Like a pamper me party with a little faery goddess twist. Engage in activities that connect you to your inner fairy goddess through creative visualization, play time, a magical craft and even faery readings if you choose. Save time for some Faery Goddess shopping and dress up as well. This is a wonderful treat if you are looking to embrace your wild child side, or inner goddess. You never know what gifts might present themselves to you on a magical Faery Goddess Eve.

Call or email me at 607-226-2354 so we can talk details, dates, times,
spaces and costs and create the perfect outdoor workshop, gathering,
or mini-retreat for you and your gal pals (-:
